That as a really heart touching story. It also reminds us of something......we spend a lot of time bashing the French these days, but there are still Frenchmen who haven't forgotten the sacrifice of the Americans in freeing their country from the Germans. Many of them are very appreciative as that video shows.

I wonder how many other windows of our lost military have suffered the same. Loved one lost in the bureaucracy of our government.

I found the French in Northern France to be very nice to me. Seemed like real good people. In Paris, well, about like you’d find in NYC. City people focused on themselves.

One of my wife's uncles was MIA in WW2. He was flying an F-4 Lightning (photo version of he P-38) and disappeared during the preparations for D-Day. The family had little inkling of his ending, but heard rumors of an airman who was shot down over France/Belgium. One of the family located the burial site in Belgium in 1980.
