It would be nice to get our AAA credit rating back.

Gold goes up and down. Sell when it’s high, buy back when it goes down. Simple!!

Everybody talks about buying but you never hear about selling.

Take a look at the return on gold vs the stock market over any significant time period.
That might give some investment direction.

I am sure William Devane makes more by being paid to encourage you to buy gold.....than he does from the gold he buys.... just sayin'.

When gold gets back to $800 and silver $12, I'm packing the gun safe full of both.

Gold and silver have long cycles, but that’s not a bad plan. Long term support looks like 1150, if it breaks below it should signal another leg lower. I’m strengthening my cash position this year aside from a bit of real estate.

Gold was regulated, then went unregulated, and moved around.
In 1980 Gold went up to $800/ounce, came back down with exponentially damped sinusoid that was ringing around $400.
If we scale off that date assuming Gold, guitars, and guns appreciate at 3% compounded [background inflation], then today Gold should cost ... [1.03] ^ 38 years power = 3
3 x $400 = Gold should be $1200 today.

But Gold is $1163 Today.

I predict it will go up $37.

My portfolio of AMZN, GOOG, and NFLX is up 49.67% over the last year.

I am not wasting my time with Gold.

I emailed this 10 years ago to a friend [I was calculating $1000/ounce then]. He said Obama was destroying the country and bought Gold and farms in Uruguay.
He lost millions.
