Back in 1978 Remington came out with their limited edition Classic line of rifles. They have a classic straight stock and high polish blue. These were discontinued in 1985. But, they did continue with limited edition calibers from 1981 until 2005. This is one of the earlier rifles. It does not have the standard consumer warning blurbs stamped into the barrel. These are really nice rifles. I've owned a couple over the years and found them to deliver terrific accuracy, like most Remington 700 rifles. You can hunt any north American big game with this caliber. It is probably the most versatile big game round ever devised. There are "character" marks in the stock, but nothing horrible. The blue is in really good condition and the bore is PERFECT. This rifle should last for generations. The scope is a Simmons 4-12 with duplex reticle and is very clear. I do not hold an FFL so check with your dealer to determine if he will accept the rifle from an individual. I include a copy of my driver's license for his records. If he insists it be shipped by another dealer, there will be an additional charge of $25 for that service. The $25 shipping fee is for the lower 48. Actual cost for Alaska.
