Production date 1979. Great shape. How much would you pay?

Thanks

$800 isn’t all that high if in like new condition. Pre-safety and JM are both a premium. I could care less about the peep sight as I’d be likely to install a small scope on the 18.5” barrel model.
I’d be hesitant to give more than $750 since I’d want to use it and not just collect it. And I’m happy enough to shoot a 30-30 to not care if they took my offer or not.
But an 1894C is many things that a 30-30 is not. So would still be nice to have both. If it’s something that you really want, I’d say buy it. Probably won’t get any cheaper.

Around here, asking prices are usually $1000 or more for a similar model. I definitely don’t see any value near that price for me.
I still occasionally see a Rossi 92 for $450 or so.
