I took the grandson (Landon, age 11 3/4) to Alaska 17-23 July 2018. This was his first trip to the 49th state and he had a ball. Here are a few pictures from out trip. A big thank you to Steve (358 Norma_Fan), Mike (Ironbender) and the fine folks on the Cracker Jack Voyager. Our first timer posing on the banks of the Kenai just below Jim's Landing Landon's first Sockeye from just behind the Kenai River Lodge in Soldotna Grandpa and grandson on the Cracker Jack Voyager out of Seward Landon's first Halibut He caught the only Ling Cod that day and it was a 39" keeper. He also caught the only King Salmon on the boat that day. Here's a pic of his King and Ling with help from Gramps. On Steve's awesome boat Landon has a King on! Mike readies the net. King in the net! Estimated 40-45 lbs. then released .. catch and release only on the Kenai that day. Landon the fish slayer! We both had the time of our lives and I watched a young boy become a young man during that trip. Good Times.

WOW! Thanks for the pictures and story. This particularly piqued my attention because I have a 12yr old grandson. I also have a son who recently moved to Alaska. This story sure has stirred up some thoughts.

Heck yeah! Looks like a good time had by all!
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

Excellent, and that is what memories are made of!
Be sure to triple backup those images, and start scheduling the next do over with a bit more time allowed.

It was good to visit with you again Dave. Glad you fellas had such a good trip.
Landon is a very polite and respectful lad. He is being raised well.
Nice to have you sit around the redneck grill with us too.

Very, very cool.
Ironbender is pretty good to us out-of-staters, but will flat out sneak your beer.

On the other hand if you drink out of his, he hardly even wipes off the spit before carrying on....
But then, I didn’t backwash. Barely. Not much at all .
