There has been lots of data floating around about the 223 AI and have used some of it for other loads that I have worked up. I am wondering if anyone has a 223ai load with a 52 gr berger target they would share and what powder you are using. I currently have Benchmark, Tac, 8208, and RL15 on hand that I think should work but dont know for sure.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I'd try the TAC first, using regular data starting about midway. Bench might work well too. RL 15 might be on the slow side, 12 would be a better fit.

Wish I could be more of a help. I ran many 52 Sierra BTHP pushed by 30.1grs of H335. No experience I can remember with the powders you listed or the bullet.

How many grains of benchmark or 8208 were you running?

Thanks

If you are interested in very long barrel life, then 28-29g of H335 with a Rem 7 1/2 or cci br-4 primer, 50-53g bullet at 3800 will serve you very well.

I have not been able to get to Bradley's 30.1g load of H335 because I am shooting zero freebore barrels.

Benchmark runs about 100 fps slower than H335, and N133 will beat all takers but is rough on throats.

53g V max bucks the wind well, but is a finicky bullet to tune in my zero freebore reamers to get to groups around .200

50 and 55g V max are money in the bank, accurate, and explosive, but not on par with the blitz kings.

For the best combo of target accuracy with super explosions on varmints, look at Sierra Blitz kings as they are a very high grade of match jackets on that bullet, where you do not have to worry about getting a good or bad lot.
