I just posted a bunch of pics in the image gallery. Can someone move them over to this thread for me? Thanks.

Joe.

I'm not smart enough to move the pictures but I just took a look. Very cool and I like the venue. I'd be willing to start the Savage canon club. I've always wanted to touch off a Napoleon! It looks like there were plenty great guns and company to be had this weekend. Thanks for posting.

Front row, L-R: Joe Martin, gnoahhh, Oldotter

Back row, L-R: Jay Roote, Saddlering, Triple deuce, Brace Roote, PoconoJack, Steve99, Dave Manseau.

Campfire handles used for Campfire guys, "real" names used for non-Campfire Facebook Savage 99 club guys.

Note: photo was taken minutes before the cops showed up to investigate reports of a bunch of old guys having way too much fun.

Great time had by all. Gnoahhh early advise of wearing expandable britches was sound advise. One of the most exceptional groups I have had the honor of being part of. The weekend was flawless.....................................until on the trip home Saddlering and myself PARKED on I80 for 90 minutes while a semi cab incinerated beyond recognition.

Great camaraderie and perfect weather made for a memorable weekend in PA's Endless Mountains.

Really, the only thing different about what we did and a Fest was that we actually took our guns out and shot them too (and no, no drinking was tolerated beforehand or during- afterwards though all bets were off)! Those woods rang for two days with the spiteful crack of .22 HiPowers and .250's, the blast of .300's and .303's, and the spatter of 1903's and 29's. I offered Joe Martin to shoot up my box of Savage .22 Hornet ammo in his 23D, if he paid me for them, but I couldn't get him to go for it.

Also,

For the guys there, what was the best firearm there? In your opinion of course. smile

gnoahhh

You missed telling of the roar of that 62 cal naval canon you and Brace demonstrated. That was cool!!

Joe, thanks for hosting this get together. Great bunch of guys to hang out with.

Best Firearm there??? The checkered prewar F and Poconojacks postwar 243W engraved F IMO. Flip a coin.
