Sure this has been flogged to death, but just can't find what I'm looking for. For wheelgun use, looking for a 38 special +P load using 357 brass. I'm assuming 158g and looking for around 1000 fps. My understanding is that trailboss won't give you this speed? So do you go with 38 powders and increase or download with 357 powders? I'm thinking the former would make sense. Anyone got a safe tried and tested recipe?

For that purpose I'd suggest sticking with Unique, W231, or other powders with similar burn rates. Data should be readily available. Light loads with powders like 2400 won't burn cleanly at lower pressures.
