I've found Power Points to shoot very will in a bunch of different calibers. In that .30-40 Krag High Wall they shot into an inch--with a tang sight. The 55 .224's shoot as well as anything I've tried in my .220 Swift, and also work just fine on "big" game.

In fact when I was culling springbok with my PH's .22-250 in 2007, the load he preferred was the Winchester factory ammo with the 55-grain Power Point. It worked just great, and the only one we recovered (from a 350-yard shot) was perfectly expanded. In fact my buddy on the trip killed a medium-size kudu bull with the rifle and load, using a behind-the-shoulder heart shot.

The PP's have shot well in my 375 Wby, not sure where to get more though? I think they were 270 grain or so?

Heck of a yote load!

The .375 with 270's works very well on Richardson's ground squirrels as well, though sometimes all that's left is a hole in the ground.

I have shot 2 moose and one elk with them out of a 30.06. My Dad also used them on 2 moose from a 30.06. Used them on quite a few deer as well.

If you can find the bullet test chart that Gary Sciuchetti did for Handloader magazine, you will see they work extremely well at those velocities. Once they hit 2400 fps performance was similar to Partitions.
