Why?

I eat two banannas every day and frequently take long car trips. What am I missing?

They’re funny. I got one dog that farts every time he sits.

Bananas generally bind rather than loosen bowels.

I guess I'm acclimated to them. My bowel works pretty normal, without much farting and all that phosphorous ended the leg cramps I used to get at night.

But I never tried bananas on dogs.

Glad to hear that, GR.

I wonder now if some get adjusted to beer and boiled eggs.

When my two brothers and I went quail hunting with my father we would load our two dogs in the trunk. We were on our way to a hunting spot near Raymond, Ms (Civil War battle east of Vicksburg) and I don’t remember which one of us three brothers let loose with a fart but when the cloud drifted up to the front seat and my father got a whiff 🤢, he asked, “Ok, who did that?” The three of us looked at each other and I think it was my youngest brother who said, without missing a beat, “the dogs did it”.

Now that was around ‘65 or ‘66, but to this day when we’re hanging out at a family gathering having a few adult bevrages and somebody happens to let one rip.......

One of us will come up with, “the dogs did it!”😀 We’re all over 60 but we still laugh our a$$e$ off😂😂😂

Yeah,..I was going to mention that. If your dog gets the squirts you can fix it by feeding him a lot of high fiber food. Minced pumpkin is good, but it gets expensive.

I mix a half can of low sodium green beans in with my dog's kibble once a day to keep him from getting the squirts. Of course, he's a Lab and a Lab will eat anything. It might be more difficult to get another breed of dog to eat green beans and minced pumpkin. The local grocery chain has low sodium green beans for 69 cents a can,..so it doesn't add up too fast. Also, they make him feel full without fattening him up.
