I'm considering two holsters for a new Kimber SS Raptor II 5", and thinking of either the Milt Sparks Axiom or the Wright Predator. I have an Axiom for a 3" Kimber and like it very much. This is the first full-size Kimber I've ever owned and am not sure that I necessarily want it to ride as high as the 3" does. That Predator looks to be excellent. I only use (to date) either Rosen, Sparks or EPS for 1911-style pistols; the latter only for the Micro 380.. Suggestions? Cautions? I don't want kydex - just leather.. Advice appreciated.. added: https://www.wrightleatherworks.com/collections/owb-holsters/products/predator-pancake-holsterLast edited by Redneck; 3 seconds ago.

I make a pretty similar holster for a tad bit less money if you're interested in one of mine: Sorry the image is so big, but at least you can see the quality of my stitching.

Star firestar. 3.25" barrel No sir, I don't have a mold for that gun - nor can I find one listed from any of my suppliers. Let me check with my holster guild and get back with you.

How long does it need to sit on the mold?

How long does it need to sit on the mold? It depends on how much retention and forming you want, but I generally leave mine on the mold until they're pretty dry after wet-molding. I use a bit of heat to speed up the drying process AND to make the leather harder so the holster will maintain its shape over time.

Hours? Days? If I brought you the pistol could you work with that? Hours. If I wet-form it in the morning, it's usually done by the evening. Or overnight if I wet-form it in the evening. You gonna bring that thing to me all the way from WY? ;-) Stand by, though, I have a colleague that says he may have the mold for it.

Bob, is the Guardian a standard commander-sized 1911? If it is, yes, I can do one for it.

I work part time for SkyWest airline. I get flight bennies. I am headed east in October anyway so swinging through your AO wouldn't be a problem.
