I have used a 30-30 to kill my first 2 deer. I used my 30-06 to kill my last 30 deer.

Considering that deer were almost non-existent in the early through mid part of the 20th century, I'd put my money on the 06. my thoughts exactly. There has been more game available for harvest in the 30-06 era.

There are many variables to consider such as expected shot distances, cover / terrain, quarry. Either of the two mentioned is more than adequate to kill deer. The good ole' 30-30 with LeverEvolution ammo will do well out to two hundred yards or so. The 06' further but with more recoil. You just need to hit a LGS (or two) and shoulder several rifles and see which one feels the best to you. I'd say a Marlin lever action 30-30 with a fixed 4X or 2-7X variable scope would be a good choice.

The F150 is likely king of the deer killers.

Perhaps not.... take a close look at the matching photo in the new article. Same thing, precisely. I'd say it was made that way. Adjustable focus at rear, right hand access to turrets.

Look at the ENDS of the scope. It’s backwards.
Spell check. Sux

Spell check. Sux If so, so is the one in the one in the article. Compare that to this. Also a marlin model 336-cs https://goo.gl/images/pNRDuQOr better yet this one: https://goo.gl/images/Fp3v2dWhy does it appear backwards to you?

Leverevo's push things to at least 250-275 yards.

I'd say the .22 LR has killed more deer than either the 30/30 or the 30.06.
