Good evening. I recently traded for a 1972 model Marlin 444T. It has the 24 inch barrel and Monte Carlo type stock with the raised cheek piece. It also has a place in the stock for a factory Marlin medallion of some sort, but the medallion is long since gone. From research, it seems a commemorative edition 444 made in 1970 is the only 444 that came with a medallion. If so, my gun has had the stock replaced at some point. Do any of you folks have any knowledge of the 444T and if any of them possibly came with a medallion? Any info is greatly appreciated.
