Hitting a 1.5 inch circle 25 times, at 300 yards, is pretty impressive; even with a varminter. I have seen "F" class targets at 300m which would have scored about that well if a hunter target had been used but only for twenty shots. The target has a 1.5 moa x ring and competitors have fired 20x (I, sadly, have not). The hunter target has a 1/16 moa (!) x-ring. The problem with VFS, at this level, is that it is unforgiving. If you shoot a "9" on your second shot, you might be done. You can shoot X's for the rest of the match and you will still lose. This is the big difference between score shooting and group shooting. A flyer in group shooting might not take you out of the running but the same flyer in score shooting can. In other words, you can shoot a .3 for your first group and make up for it with some .1's but, if you shoot a 49, you can't get that back. GD
