Today was a big day for the family. A year of raising and training our girl Remi ( family endeavor) culminated in today's trip to the shooting preserve. Today was Remi and my two youngest boys first bird "hunt", my lovely wife's first time taking quail and my first taking pheasant. Watching everyone work together and our girl put up and retrieve every bird for us was well worth every bit of training time and I pray it's only the beginning of a long journey full of good times and flying feathers.....

Best of luck... Never shot many snipe, but they were a favorite of the old time gunners..

They're my favorite bird to hunt and the main reason for choosing a Lab as a hunting partner. They live in some nasty places and are very hard to find once downed. Unfortunately it's a little too warm to use her near the water in Florida yet so she'll likely set most of this trip out.....
