.
Who offers the industrial black chrome finish for firearms?
Marker machine in Ohio, This company chrome plates over nickle http://arlingtonplating.com/capabilities/black-chrome-plating/ another: http://www.olymco.com/black-chrome.aspx Bends PVD plating looks interesting and may reduce chipping that can happen with the nickle process. https://www.bendplating.com/black-chrome-vs-black-pvd/I have only seen work by Marker Machine Co.this was on a number of Charles Askins Rifles, he thought highly of it. Not sure if they are still in operation, they were about ten years ago.

I did not know Marker Machine was still in business. I had the bore and bolt of a brand new Remington M600 Mohawk hard chromed in 1975, yea, that's not a typo. Cost of the service was $19.50 for the bore and another $7 for the bolt. I still have that sub-MOA M600 and it has the ease of cleaning the bore is right up there with my brownings and Tikka. RJ
