Finally revisited this powder after having some issues with ejection issues last go round that turned out to be die related. Well with R-P brass, 120 NBT's, and 47.5 and 48.5 grains...both below book max... I got .87 group with 47.5 and .81 with 48.5. Thats decent but the velocity was right impressive... 2930 avg with 47.5 and 3005 avg with the 48.5. Pretty impressive for a 20 inch barrel. These loads were shot in 40 degree weather so not much worry about the temp sensitivity this go round. I think Im gonna like this stuff.

CFE223 has been easy to work with, and given top velocities of every powder I've tried, in every rifle I've tried it on. I just haven't been able to get the best groups with it yet.

Cool to hear that it's working out for you.

CFE-223, 2000MR, and BIg Game all get you there in velocity. i've not been able to duplicate Pharm's accuracy so far in the wife's T3X Superlite with any of them.

So I used an old reliable RL-15 load for her this past season with 120 gr NBTs. It shot a first 3 gp of 0.5" and the last two opened the group up a little but still less than 1". Gonna probably revisit all three of these powders this year and may bring her back to 120 gr TTSX and get it started a little faster. The 120 gr Nosler didn't exit on a nice 10 pointer she took last Sunday, and there waa essentially zero blood trail. The deer only ran about 35-40 yds total, with the last part of it in woods, so I was happy. But she worried, well what if I hadn't taken out the top of the heart and what if it had run further?

Gotta have confidence in your bullet, so just for her sake, I'll try the TTSX this next year.

Im not sure any powder overall has given me better groups than 15....esp 44 with the 120's.. Not the fastest but seems to work in everything. Pharm I have followed your posts on here. I tried Big Game with the ELD's in an ADL 7-08 I have. It done ok just didnt have any Magnum primers at the time to test more. Will revisit after deer season. Thats really all Ive used Big Game for so far.

I like Big Game and CFE223 for these applications, but I couldn't get Big Game to group well with the 120NBT in my father's 18" Ruger American SS 7mm-08. CFE turned out to be the ticket and shot MOA with velocities over 3,100fps. Big Game did turn out to be a winner with the 100gr TTSX in my 260, making 3,200 from a 22" barrel.

And I agree with bludog on the confidence issue, which is why I like the TTSX when running the higher speeds with lightweights in the 7mm-08 and 260. From what I've seen, the 120TTSX 7mm works just fine at speeds below 3,000fps also.

Now with even more aplomb
