Looks like Trump's strategy of fear mongering backfired. His BS about an invasion of our border was a complete failure, just as he is a complete failure. Sending troops to the border at a cost of $220,000,000 was a total waste of time, our troops, and our tax dollars. It may have mobilized his dumbass base, but it hurt Republicans nationwide. The Democrats have picked up a net 34 seats with more to come. What a complete and total loser. I wonder if he's tired of winning yet.

You cannot draw a conclusion from an outcome unless you know the variables you ascribed are in fact causes.

The cost of the troops is mostly BS.

Those people get paid everyday. No matter what they do.
They operate vehicles, and use consumable items. Daily.
Most of that money would be spent if they were sitting in barracks playing Old Maid.
Probably more in intensive training.


This is a good training exercise.

Man, weather got cold here last few mornings. Usually doesn't get this chilly for another month but supposed to warm up a little. Perfect hunting weather for next ten days in TX but I already shot my buck for the year. The 140 .277 sierra passed through the heart and left a golf ball sized exit. Lungs weren't jellied - so odd. Exit was about as expected compared to what the 140 264's do at slower speeds. Don't know how it was able to run the 60-70 yds it did and can't explain why they seem to just fall over dead when shot with the 260. Weird ain't it.?

We started with cold rain last night @ 38, changing to freezing rain early this AM which has now changed over to sleet @ 30. We've had no sun the prior 3 days with highs in the 30's -low 40's. Roads are covered in icy slush[luckily not glazed].
