Just doing some research on a newly acquired 16 ga double-barrel. It says Ithaca but I believe made by Western Arms. The SN is 5999x, which seems to be 1941. It’s in average+ shape, about 26”ish length barrels.

He was selling me a few other guns, then threw this in. I added $60 for this double, since we don’t currently have one, and are fond of the chambering.

I don’t see an easy way to break it down, yet. Any tips on getting the forearm off, then break it down some? I just want to give it a deeper cleaning, been sitting a while. I had planned to flip it, thinking about keeping now.

O.K.., broke down fine, as expected, just a bit stiff. We cleaned it up & fired 4 rounds in the back yard, all was well.

Why don't you think it's a Ithaca if that's what it says on the gun ? I don't believe WA made guns for Ithaca.
