My memory is failing me. I had these fit to my 80s Beretta since there was none for it at the time. I am thinking they are Talleys, but they differ from the ones on their website. I am thinking they changed them slightly. Am I correct? I would like to install a 30mm tube and need rings to fit these.[Linked Image]

This is their current base. It could be a newer version, depending on the dimensions. Talley

Those look like Kimber of Oregon bases. I think they were made by Warne at the time, but not sure. The kimber rings can still be found, but are getting expensive (north of $100).

Warne, generally referred to as their Premier line before they switched to the Weaver standard. Vintage and various changes in the recoil lug. It may be more fruitful to seek other bases than compatible 30mm rings. Oh, wait a minute. Talley makes a 30mm ring compatible with the Kimber of Oregon 89 BGR, same dovetail. That oughta work for your bases. Heck, I need a set too! Other details of the dovetail dimensions escape me now.... However, you might verify with them that their rings have no lug as your bases. Curious too what you find out. I would like 30mm rings for my 89BGR with integral dovetail. All this is a WAG. Good luck.

Warne has this nice write-up. Jack was a GoodGuy.

My first thought was Warne, but I didnt' see anything current that was similar. I had Dennis Olson install these at the time. Since this is a round top Sako, I am thinking there will be virtually nothing out there for a replacement. Not that I need one, I was just looking for alternatives, specifically for 30mm. I really can't justify spending much.

Do you have 1" rings to possibly get by with?

Not Warne. No cut out for the Premier underlug.

Could be a Weaver. FYI: although close, the old Warne Premiers will fit on the old Weaver bases if you cut a hole or channel for the underlug. IIRC it was 1/2" side to side, but I've slept and drank since then......

Those are Warne Premier bases. Warne Premier rings had the recoil lug added later in production. I have a set with and without the lug

Well. I could not say that all Warne built bases would have a slot or not as it was an evolution from none, per KoO to the Maxima... Could be like TPAK says and they're pre-Warne (Scope Mounts) Kimber of Oregon's. The BGR had no slot on the Super America thus the bases for the Classic would not.. Never heard of a narrow Weaver of similar vintage....

In my pic above, the #7 quick release set is earlier, with 1/2 a lug, than the SS set #4. The bottom two are for round top 82s. I will have to dig them out and check the bases in the packages for a groove, but, I too recall it as bt8897 says. But it's been many moons. I figure I could file off the 1/2 lug on those quick detach if the op needs them to get running .... An attentive eye can see that over time designs requiring less complex machining evolved....

I have 1" rings for it, I was wanting to install a 30mm on it to check for accuracy compared to the scope I now have on it. I am thinking they did change their bases, as has been shown.

When I got my 89 I couldn't find anything current and compatible besides the Talleys linked above and Warne 7.3 which are 1" and fit either the Premier base or a 3/8" dovetail depending on clamp rotation.

I just saw on Talley's site they're .460" dovetail. Here's the non-lever version. Don't see them economical anywhere.

Update: I found them for $108.57 from Optics Planet, shipped free with current BF discounts... Afraid Talley will stop making what has to be a very low demand item, I ordered a set.

Almost 100% positive this is correct. The recoil lug can be ground off the Warne Premier to fit these bases.
