Now, finally, I can see those heavies way out. It took a while, but it was worth it, by the way, phenomenal quality.

Fotis, are these caliber specific or action length specific?

I have one as well. It's dang hard to click into the mag release. No different bolt stop is needed.

If it works anywhere as good as it looks, it'll be a great mag.

The first two I received wouldn’t work. The bolt wouldn’t go past the feed lips. Super tight fit and the magazine latch wouldn’t close when the magazine was finally inserted. I emailed them several months ago and received replacements today. I’ll try them tomorrow and see if they work. I’ll report back with findings....

One I got for my son doesn’t lock up properly and “hangs” at the back so the bolt does not pick up a cartridge.

Need to call and see what they can do.

As promised, I'm reporting back....

My two new mags function perfectly. They're a tad tight to seat, but not nearly as tough as the first two. Looks like the replacement mags will get lots of use! Hats off to them for fixing the issue!

Hey do any of you guys use the mags with their MT bottom metal? Wonder if it works better with theirs rather than factory?

Here's THE thing...if ANY bolt gun DBM magazine deviates from an AICS footprint,it is assuredly a piece of fhuqking schit. Hint.

Now Fotis is EASILY amongst THE Dumbest Of Fhuqks, because the only thing she "shoots" is her mouth. No "news" there. Tikka is reliably amongst the WORST with mag "designs",as they purposely skirt reliability, durability and logistics to "offer" hilariously inept Fhuqkig Dog Schit.

MT "tries",but they farm out all of their wares and setback to reap "rewards" that are NOT their's. Why in THE fhuqk, would they not allow gravity to work, connect dots and bask in the simple satisfactions of a WELL established footprint, which is THE high water mark?!?

For durability, reliability, logistic support, commonality and COAL...an AICS footprint has no contest. NONE.

Ask Fotis how "many" rounds She's "shot" through said device. LAUGHING!

alwaysdull,

Ruger gets farrrrrr more schit right, than Teeker do.

Teeker manages to fhuqk up ALL magazines,is clueless in general and eeks Goat Fhuqk after Goat Fhuqk. Hell...even Ruger knows to go with an AICS DBM. Hint. Laughing!

The new Teeker Rimfire, yet another steaming pile of schit. CM,horribly botched mag and an '06 receiver to boot. Hint. Laughing!

Used it today extensively with shorty 223's and long loaded ones. Not a single hiccup!!! Smooth feeding with no issues.

I was part of the early bird first generation ordering cycle. I ordered four .223, bright red.

The bad: oh-fer on all four in the feeding department. One wouldn’t feed at all, the other three would feed, grudgingly, only if I inserted the mag with the bolt closed.

The good: I contacted MT, they checked the date of my order, yep, first generation, we had problems with these. Keep the guts, we’ll send you new shells. Two red, two gray.

So far the customer service has been excellent.

The good:

The replacement shells came today. When they say they’ll ship now, they mean now. The cutout on the top at the tail end of the cartridge is a significantly different shape.

The bad:

None of them function. I swapped the guts, loaded four, inserted the mag in my T3, one no problem, two no problem, three ran over the top. Put two more in, same issue. Tried different shells, same issue. Tried the guts from a different mag, same issue.

Maybe it’s the rifle!

Nope. Tried the other T3, this one a Superlite. See above.

Repeat with mag #2. Same.

Mag #3. Yep.

Mag #4. Yep.

Now, like Forrest said, I’m not a smart man but I know how to load a magazine. Something like that, anyway. I’m willing to accept operator error (I mean really, oh-fer eight, in two rifles?) but I don’t see how.

Any ideas?

I called MT just now, Andrea is sending me videos on magazine insertion and the magazine retaining spring. We’ll see.

Update, video file is huge, didn’t load. You’d think they’d have a vid on YouTube, or a link on their website.

Got my three 6-round replacement mags yesterday, just in time to wrap them and put them under the tree. They’re rated for 6 rounds but hold eight. I loaded them with seven and tested them for function. Flawless.

Mountain Tactical rocks!

This is why people don’t like you.

You lash out at people for no reason. No provocation. No class.

There was a time that I really valued your experience and willingness to help. You very graciously answered my questions and gave freely of your time. Your patience with my ignorance was truly inspiring. In fact, you are one of the reasons I am so willing to give of my time and experience, as limited as it is.

But man, you really turned into a dick.

GREAT time to wax eloquent upon the "Sweet Satisfactions' that our your's,in quantifying how Imitation, remains THE most Sincere form of Flattery. Pardon actual use, troubling you so...as you swoon Fluff and greedily read my every word and gawk my every Splendid Pixel. Hint. Congratulations?!?

with all the time you take accumulating stuff, writing messages to yourself on every conceivable item/object, chasing fish, tossing guns into streams, then posing all said items for photos, then post photo processing, do you ever actually get out and shoot, much less hunt?

Josh,
The MT mag allows a COAL of 2.60”, plenty of room.
As an aside, I picked up some gen 2 bottom metal from MT when it was on sale. Their 223 billet mag works flawlessly in that BM.
That dang super varmint 223 will stack the Fiocchi factory 50 grain VMaxes into a tiny cluster at 100 yards.
Looking forward to flinging some ELDs in it...
