Just an FYI - spoke to a CZ rep Friday and he showed me a cell phone pic. Most noticeable thing was that the 457 will have a push forward to fire safety lever on the right hand side.
Also, no LH version is on the horizon (pretty surprising if you ask me).
I don't have anything else but I figured I'd post what I had been told for anyone who is interested.

Kragman1: Thats great news for those of us (those few of us?) that have been holding off buying a rimfire CZ of any type because of the bass-ackwards safeties on them!
I'll be looking forward to seeing one in person.
Thanks for the heads up.

You're welcome.
The only other thing I can say is that the bolt handle was shaped differently - no square portion near the bolt body and if anything it appeared to give even less relief for a scope bell when lifted. But that easily could have been due to the perspective the pic was taken from. I can't imagine CZ deliberately reducing bolt handle clearance when they have to know that they should really be increasing it.

The two differences I saw made it resemble older American bolt rifles. Some people will like the new style safety, but I don't think many people will like the looks of the bolt handle.

Just my .02

Bolt throw is 60 degrees on the new 457, so you’ll actually be able to mount lower than before. Their old bolts were 90 degrees.

Now that's good to hear.
Are they going with a three lug bolt?
Not that they'd need to, just wondering.

Lots of good improvements there. Its disappointing that a LH model won't be introduced.

Did some digging around and here are some of the latest pics of the new 457 in a prototype Manners tactical stock.
Looks very nice.

The barrel assembly and magazines are the same as a 455. They will be made in 22LR,22 mag and 17HMR.

The side safety, adjustable trigger , better lookng bottom metal and low bolt lift are all SOLID improvements for most shooters over previous CZs

This is the rifle that the 455 SHOULD have been.

IMO,if these new 457s shoot well and are priced like the 455 rifles were, these will be the top dog in the sub $500 rimfire bolt gun market .

I can't believe they won't support the lefties. It may just be a while before they run any.

The left handed guns almost ALWAYS take a few years to come out for any new model no matter who is making it.

Tooling costs $$. The 80%( or more) of shooters that run right handed bolts pay off the startup expense. Left handers do not.

I guess I'll be waiting to see one of these before I think about buying one of those new Tikkas - which I have also yet to see.

I am curious about the price on these. The one with the manners really has my interest if it's not on the heels of Anschutz price wise.

Lipsey's website has the retail price listed on the various 457 models, for example, the 457 American is listed at $476. You might have to dig around the website, but it can give you a ballpark MSRP, which will then be subject to the whims of the dealer you choose.

The MTR model several folks are oogling is $752. The 457 Scout is the least costly at $365.

No pics, but here's a shortcut to the rifles and prices.
