I paid lots more than that for the one I have. I also have a pre mil F in .358 that I paid more than that for. The market for lesser quality guns may be soft, but if I see something nice I'll dig deep for certain. Here's my .358 EG the way in came. I've got one in 358, that one's nicer. “The Savage 99 Pocket Reference”. All models and variations of 1895’s, 1899’s and 99’s covered. Also dates, checkering, engraving..
