I have one of those Swede's that Kimber sporterized about 25 years ago. I'd like to put it in something nicer than the Ramline plastic stock it came with, thinking of a gray/black laminate from Richards Micro or Boyds. I'll assume they're not complete drop in but I'm fine with doing some fitting and then glass bedding.

The Richards is a bit less than the Boyds, $95 vs $150, are the Boyds worth the extra $?

Unless things have changed at Richards, I'd go with Boyds.

Look at the price! You get what you pay for. I just bought a Boyd's LH for a mauser pattern stock. What a piece of chit! you can't believe the amount of bondo and accraglas I had to pour into it . Try Wenig's, the old Fajen.

Does Wenig's handle stocks for Mausers? I don't see them listed on their website.

Neither did I but I want laminated wood, Wenig's is just straight walnut.

Can't speak to the makers mentioned, but if one acquires an actual ready to drop in unit, one can be sure fit will be quite poor. A 90 to 95% complete with a need for final fitting would end up being a superior product. Down side is some fit and finish work is involved.
