If I'm stuck with just one scope, I'm going full custom.

I'd spend millions and build a sub 13oz 30mm tube FX-3 6x42 with SWFA internals, SWFA elevation knob (zero stop!!!), low profile windage, rear adj. paralax and the Milquad reticle.

Or, I might just stick with a 6x MQ, save the millions and hold the fluff.....

Screw you! I'm voting for Trump again!

I very good quality 4X with a 38 MM or larger objective.

I find a good 4X is far more useful then most of variable scopes that are offered today.

Vortex Razor HD AMG 6-24x50, my most recent and most favorite addition. Not my top choice for hunting rigs, but I could easily make it work. I shoot way more at steel than meat, so if I could only have one....

Anybody who seriously concerns themselves with the adequacy of a Big 7mm for anything we hunt here short of brown bear, is a dufus. They are mostly making shidt up. Crunch! Nite-nite!

Leupold of some sort. I have at least 5 VX-1 2-7 on .22, .22mag, .17HMR CZ 455's.

Waiting to get that exact scope back from leupold right now. Internal fogging. The last two I've sent in for the same issue, they have replaced with new scopes. We'll see what they do with this one, as they've had it for three weeks now.

I'd like the M8's better if the windage tracked better. Makes sighting in a very frustrating experience.

Translation: You want turny things on the top and sides of your scope that makes the line thingy inside move up and down.

My one scope would be a NF 3.5-18x44 with a fine duplex and an illuminated dot. Like a Leupold VX6 😎

SS 3-9x42 MQ. Its not perfect, but it's the closest I've used.

Out to 300 yards, the Z3 3-10x42 4A may get the nod.
