I bought a Winchester 94 the other day off of gunbroker. How do I tell the age of it?

The '70 were good vintage for those rifles. I like 1970' s made Winchester 94's better than any of the others after the pre'64's.

My brother owns a ‘70s model 94 that’s short and has a saddle ring on the side of the receiver.
