Had the opportunity to pop up to my lease between Saturday and Tuesday. Culled this buck Sunday evening. I'd recently acquired this Loveless Style Hunter by Rick Menefee and had not availed myself of the opportunity to blood it. I am a fan of etched A2 Steel. Got him back to camp about 8:30 PM and skinned him out and gutted him. Jack Frost was supposed to be in evidence Monday morning so I let him hang over-night. Being an old fart, by 9PM I'm just about tuckered. Enjoy taking an animal apart much more after he has hung over-night and I'm fresh.

Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.
Ain’t easy havin pals.

I saw that knife in the classifieds, read the description, looked over the pictures and clicked out and on to the next add. Within seconds I thought, "you need to buy that knife." I went back to that add only to find you had said the magic words just seconds before I could get back in there. Good on ya for recognizing a good buy and not hesitating on pulling the trigger. Glad to see it put to work, enjoy that A2 cutter!

Gee.….always great pics....and what a life!!
I don't always venture out into the sub-freezing darkness, but when I do, it is deer hunting season, and I carry a Remington. Stay hungry my friends.

When I was a young kid 5 or so decades ago, my heroes were ballplayers. A full lifetime of learning and living has moved me to replace Mickey Mantle with GW.
Now if I could just talk him out of that Honeycutt Dorado in green buckeye burl I could take Mickey's bat off the wall.

Damn G'Dub. Is this on the deer lease or the Beer lease?
Either way congrats to you. Looking forward to seeing you again in March.

Regards JLimbo. This was at the beer lease. Hate to say it, but the night before opening day of rifle season the powers that be let us that come December 1st the property was off limits. They are taking 28,000 acres of the 60,000 acre ranch for a "wind farm. We knew this was coming, but we were told it would be after deer season was over. Seems they decided to start two months early. We supposedly will get a 100% refund on our lease fee, and if the project finishes in the 10 month period projected will hunt for free next season. In the meantime we can still fill our feeders, but cannot enter with a fire-arm. But that's the breaks. BTW 10/4 on seeing you in March! I'm already, ready to see youse guys once more! ya! GWB
