Hi guys,
Does anyone shoot this caliber? I saw a rifle chambered for this caliber last week and it triggered my curiosity. Based on what I have read on the internet, it seems to be a necked-up and improved version of 300 RUM created by a Utah-based gunsmith. The information is very scarce so I am interested to hear from forum members who might have owned or used this caliber.
Thanks, -Omid

Have not heard of it but there are several variations of the 338 RUM Improved.

https://www.longrangehunting.com/threads/416-buff.21003/This is a .375 RUM based wildcat. Jerry Easley also has wildcats named "Tejas". Maybe he's one to check with further? Anyhow, he lives five minutes away from me. .338 TEJAS had a familiar ring, but it's been a year since I heard him recount about his muzzle brake and wildcatting stories.

Thanks for your notes. This seems to be a 300 RUM based wild cat created by a gunsmith by the name of Brad Stair. His shop is (was?) called Cross Canyon Arms and that's what I saw written on the rifle. I took a picture of this rifle, here it is:
