Not enough snow here so far this winter but still have deer every day, sheep a couple of times a week, and the elk are coming in at night this year. All the fence repair I did last spring was pretty much for naught since they have rode it down in a lot of places all ready. The place it is rode down worse is about 10 ft away from an open 12 gate but they choose to cross the fence rather than walk through the gate.

Well no idea about a CZ 457, but I do know what a 452 will do, 1.5" at fifty would be a VERY bad windy day. Dime size for 10 shots is about right when things are normal.

Don't know about all the BOT stuff, but I think a 457 is in my near future. Just fixing the safety is a great start.

They look like they're another company's rifle, designed to compete with CZ.....

Gotta say that the MTR looks good if youre into just benching small groups.... Assuming that the barrel quality is there consistently.

I have 1 model 455 (the short barrel version they started calling a Lux) and its an impressive shooting sporter.
I don't know if I got lucky or not but I have read online (FWIW) that when borescoped the 455 barrels have ranged from excellent to crappy.
I don't know anything about that, but I can say that using a slip fit barrel is really shouldn't be a downgrade accuracy-wise over threaded, and I'm a purist who wants a 452.
Why - modern manufacturing is especially good at making precision "rounds", both internally and externally.
And it's definitely less expensive than threading.
I wouldn't want to remove a barrel so the ability to swap is lost on me. I just don't see a problem with the new barrel mounting.

The front of my brain likes the changes, especially the 60° bolt.
The back of my brain doesn't want to see the old style go.

As to the 457, I have two 452s and a 455 that shoot quite well but may have to complete the collection with a 457.
