New knives for Christmas #13416072 01/03/19 Joined: Jan 2016 Posts: 131 R Rob96 OP Campfire Member OP Rob96 Campfire Member R Joined: Jan 2016 Posts: 131 For Christmas I received 2 new knives from Buck. First one is a 722 Spitfire with S30V steel and the other is the Omni 12pt Hunter with guthook in 12c27mod Sandvik steel. Both are very nice and extremely sharp. Can't wait to put them to use.

Nickel bolsters, buckeye burl scales and S30V blade. Perfect action, smooth and tight, zero blade play. Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

Also enabled me to retire the old Sharp knife I bought at Kmart in the 80's. Dulls quickly but has gutted a few deer. It'll be hung on the wall with the last buck it was used on.
