Congrats. You are going to love it! I got mine in .22 caliber a year ago and it is a great air rifle.
I ordered some RWS HOBBY pellets with the rifle and got very good accuracy. When I ran out of those i bought some cheap Crosman Premier pellets on sale. Well you know how that goes. Accuracy dropped off so I tried some 15.89 gr JSB Match pellets and wow it was back to being a nail driver.

What caliber is yours? Best of luck with it and keep us posted on how she shoots.

Great guns. I've owned a pile of spring guns over the years including the magnum RWS48 and RWS350, but the little R9 (HW95) is probably my favorite. It packs plenty of punch and it's not too heavy to carry or hard to cock.

You'll have a bunch of trigger time with that one, Nice!

Did you get it scoped? 257heaven has some Hawke 3-9 airgun scopes in the classifieds for $110 each.

I drive a 97K with a 27MOA droop Mount and 6x MQ.

It's "capable"..................(grin)

Thanks for the tip. I picked one up. I was checking out Hawkes anyway.

Yes! Cookie came through with a Beeman R9 (HW95) .22 cal. Have the open sights dialed in at about 25 yds and an accompanying neighbor was quite impressed by its accuracy (about 1 inch) although I was not. Presently looking for a scope that will endure a springer. Not many out there truly advertising that they're springer tolerant.

Colodog: Appreciate your post above, as I was checking out that brand as well. Just touched bases with 257heaven and have spoken for one of the Hawke 3-9X's. Should be an excellent match. Thanks,

JoeBob and 1minute,

I'm glad you both got scopes on the way, I was briefly tempted too but I would have had to buy another rifle to put it on.

We're gonna need to hear your reports and tales of hunting adventures when you get a chance!

Dude, that's overkill for sure. Then again, a 270 would have bounced off.

Oh, it splats them. Just a red and black spot on the target.
