I'm guessing it'll get $1200-1300 based on condition and the fact it has the box. I've already got one in 7mm Rem Mag and .300 Win Mag or I'd probably be interested. Would like to pick up a .338 at some point.

I'd bid $996, but I'd be afraid I'd win.
Had one, certainly wouldn't want another.
Just think of it as a MRC, if MRC was no longer in business to fix all the issues.

The last SS LH M70 I tracked on GB sold for $1650 in November. It was a .300WM and NIB. The 7mm seem to be the most commonly found so I'd expect it to bring a bit less, but it's an auction so who knows.

Put this one on my watchlist and will be interested to see how it goes. I have two blued/walnut LH Winchesters, a Fwt 270 WSM that I'm going to sell for (pretty) sure and an LT .30-06 that I'm about this close to putting on the block. Even with the Fwt as a lesser desirable configuration and caliber I'd make money on each for sure but with the market so down it seems like I'd just be better off hanging onto them until another Democrat gets in the White House. And no, don't ask now, they aren't for sale yet...

Wondering what the problems were? Did the rifle just not shoot well?

It’s up to $1,425. Definitely was not expecting that (especially because the 7 Rem mag generally brings in less).

Cause we have actually owned them, tried them, and used them. Not just fantasized over them with rose colored googly eyes as a lover.

I’ve owned several and actually used them. They are fantastic rifles and I’ve killed everything from bighorn sheep to big bull elk with them. They’ve seen countless miles on packs and in gun scabbards without a hitch. Ive successfuly used them when hunting partners 700 ilk rifles are frozen up beyond use. They have sat leaning against trees in snowstorms with not a bobble. And I could go on.

I wish I would have seen this earlier. I can't see it going over $1,600.00 in todays market though... Nice rifle, but what detracts from value is it's a magnum. Left hand stainless model 70's sell better if they are the short action variety. The nice walnut stocks also add to the value. Nice rifle, but is it going to go over $1,600.00? Hell, I know where a nice blued model is in 7STW for $800.00 and it also comes with a Leupold 3.5-10x40...
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA
