Why does every company go off in into the twilight zone? Why can't they just sell their crap and STFU about things that have nothing to do with what they're selling? It is like a cancer spreading across the business world and they are unable to contain it. Yeah.. Like pissing off your customers has been a sound business philosophy... I have mixed feelings regarding the message. I think it promotes common decency more than anything. The implication is that masculinity isn't already decent. That's where I have a problem as well.

It looked like there was some institutional selling of Proctor stock today, which is a shame because it has been a pretty solid haven during the last few months of volatility. The after hours action is responding to that so I expect it’ll drop a good bit this week and stay down for a few months.
Nike tried this and their stock has yet to recover.
As far as what razor to buy, forget that disposable crap and just wet shave. I didn't see any institutional selling today nor after hours. Big sell-off on 21 Dec, but so did everyone else. I basically believe in the message, but it doesn't sell any razors for me.

Many years ago, I grew tired of the price gouging Gillette practices with regard to their cartridges and I find their avaricious marketing schemes and litigious nature towards their competitors to be far worse than obnoxious. It seemed that every year or two they came out with a new cartridge and razor, with price increases to match. My thought was: who the heck needs a 5 or 6 blade razor with a lube strip and a swivel head? JFC! I completely stopped using Gillette products about 20 years ago. I switched to DE wet shaving and I probably have enough blades stockpiled for the rest of my life - all for the cost of one pack of Gillette whiz bang cartridges. Screw Gillette.

I get four brand new razors a month from Dollar Shave Club for - you guessed it - a dollar. They are great razors and I don't even come close to using them as often as they come so I always have a fresh one and enough stockpiled to last a looongg time. Fugg The price gouging Gillette fuggs...
