There are some guys that can duplicate an existing stock.. don't have any names though. Wasn't a campfire member doing it last year? “The Savage 99 Pocket Reference”. Appears to be a pretty nice piece of straight grain walnut. I'll take a picture and send it to you, if you're still looking and interested. Posted a couple of pictures in the "Image Gallery". Certain models from approx. 1908(?) through WWI will have a perch belly bottom line to the stock contour instead of the straight bottom line.

I saw a pistol grip with a crescent butt plate and thought it was a custom mod. Are we sure these were actual produced by Savage?
