I own a cottage that I rent out seasonally on a short term basis. 2 night minimum is required, cottage is available May - October. I'm currently using Homeaway as the rental service. Homeaway and VRBO are both owned by Expedia. I've had some issues with Homeaway as a company that I won't go into at the moment, but long story short, they've left a very sour taste in my mouth. I've looked into Air Bnb but don't have any firsthand knowledge with them. Does anyone have any pros/cons with their experience, or do you have any experience with other companies/options? This will be my 3rd year renting the cottage, and I'm starting to build up a customer following with repeat customers and word of mouth to friends and family. Ideally I'll get a customer base built large enough so I won't need to use a booking service, and it'll just be repeat renters that I've had positive experiences with. This will lower my costs and liability both.
