New 405 gr cast load of 45.0 grs H4895

My middle aged eyes and Buckhorn sights not withstanding looks like it will be a good load to play with.

Will chrono later maybe, I'm just playing now.

I adjusted sights up for 2nd group and approximately doubles at 100 yards. Definitely stringing up and down much more then verticle which tells me I just need to refine my sight picture.

If you are using a six o'clock hold try just plastering the bead, I assume, right on what you want to mess up. For me, a six o'clock and I'm hiitting low or strung out. Lovely thing in those photos. Could you bear to see that deliciously curved and finished butt sticking out of a scabbard eating slush and cold trail mud?

I've got a Browning 1886. I put a Providence Tool Company Pattern 21 peep sight on it, and a Skinner front sight. I can't see open sights very well anymore, but I can sure see the sights clearly with this combination. I'm shooting just over 1 MOA at 100 and 200 yards and about 2 MOA at 300 off the bench. I have the sights regulated to put me 3.5" high at 100, right on at 200, and I'm dropping about 20" at 300. The sight is easily and quickly adjusted to compensate. I use a 6 o'clock hold so the front blade doesn't cover the target.

Probably...but may as well bang a drum and chant while hunting as the scent will let game know you are coming.
