Does anyone make a side scope mount for a pre-64 model 94 that does NOT require drilling/tapping?
I like the KwikSite but it's post 64 only.
Weaver makes a base for pre-64s (3D) but their fitment guide says it still requires drilling/tapping.
What else is out there?

Seems Quick site made a pre 64 version at one time. The reason I say this is I was cleaning up a buddies post 64 one time and as a nice gesture decided to mount a scope on it. I got on leverguns.com asking if anyone had a set. A member sent me a set and they didnt fit. It seems they were for a pre 64. Now this was probably 12 years ago so my memory maybe a little foggy.

I have a Williams side mount and rings that will supposedly fit a pre-64. I have a nice 1957 .32 WS carbine that I might put it on. I also have a nice 1957 30-30 carbine, plus a 1918 rifle .32WS, and my old favorite, a 1957 .32WS carbine. Love those old 94's!

Check Weaver sidemounts. Uses existing holes in receiver for pre or post 64 guns, respectively. Uses side mounted rings onto that base.Be prepared to shoot your gun without cheek support.good luck with that and have fun! Mel

Spoke with a lady at Kwiksite and she swears theirs will fit with different screws that are provided.
She said I could return it if it didn’t fit.
I ordered one, but am skeptical.

"pre-64" is a pretty general term, not all are the same. I.E. They didn't start D & T-ing the receiver for aperture sights (where the rear of the side mount attaches) 'tll 1952. If you have an earlier rifle that's non-factory D & T, the distance between the front mounting screw and the rear aperture sight holes may not be correct for the mount. If that's the case, you may have to drill and countersink a mount to match your receiver.

B-Square made a no-drill mount for top-eject Winchester 94s. but I think that they have been discontinued and may only be available used or as new, old stock. This mount was B-Square part # 14710.

260, I saw that B square the other day but can't locate one.
It'll be a few weeks before I'll be able to tinker with it, but I'll let y'all know if it works.

Didn’t work. They sent two large screws, neither of which fit.
I returned it.
Oh well.

Not the response your looking for but find a 70's 94 that already has the mount on it and keep yours as it is without any residual marks should it be removed at a later date. I have one if your interested, PM me if so.
The post 64's aren't nearly as bad as people make them out to be, are they a pre 64, no, but they certainly are still a Winchester and a 94.
I have nothing against modified old guns because they weren't collectible back then and all that the term collectible has done is inflate the price of them. That being said, there is no need to continue to modify these fine old rifles when there are lots of options to avoid doing so, but that is just me.
