Got one last year. May take our my grandads pre64 30-06. Been a while since it has seen the PA woods.

Not a new rifle, but definitely new glass. Thinking Nightforce SHV 3-9 at the moment.

Not unless I get that Gew.98 action finished that I have been sitting on for a while. Think I have everything but the stock at this point.

That will be a real nice rifle. Have you considered a 270 WSM? I like the devil out of that caliber!

A great friend (fishing partner) GAVE me a Savage Mod 10, 270WSM a couple of months ago.
He won it at a firehall gun raffle 8 years ago, and he never shot it !
It shoots ok, but I think it needs a little stock work to get it down to M O A .
Soon as it warms up I’ll get on that. It’s-3*f out in my shop right now!!

I LIKE THAT MOD. 70, looking forward to it. My wife is getting the “What will I do with all your “stuff” when you die” syndrome.
WGAF , I’ll be dead !!

Ive had a few project guns finished since hunting season, and have several more that'll be finished before the next one. May end up buying something new to me (i only buy used). I still have several ive bought but haven't had a chance to use yet.

I"m always looking for Savage Model 99's. Pretty much hoping to find a drilled and tapped EG in 250-3000. I'm also looking to put together a pistol length AR as a truck gun.

7-08 Ti, cutting the barrel 20”, putting it in a microlite MPI stock, new Calvin Elite, and a few other mods....see where it goes.

I am tempted to sell a bunch of rifles and replace them with a 22-250 Fieldcraft and the new 280AI Fieldcraft to be covered for the lower 48 and go on a really nice guided hunt somewhere with the extra money!

I'm selling rifles, not buying them. I've got three that I hunt with, and they'll be the last to go.

I picked up a custom Manlicher from the smith at the end of the season so it will be a new gun to me to hunt with. It's a 6.5X55 and I haven't even had the chance to break it in yet. Also a Rem 700 classic in 250 Savage will make it's deer hunting debut. Last season I hunted with 6 different rifles.

I got a Ruger 77 Hawkeye .338 WM the wife got me, but that's for bear hunting, and I won't be doing that again until 2020. I did pickup a Savage 99E .243 while home on R&R two weeks ago. I may take it on a blacktail hunt soon, or whitetail if I can get back to visit my mom during deer season in AR.

Not likely. Like some others here, I've got several "deer" rifles that have never seen the woods. Rifles just happen sometimes, but if I stay off GB and out of gunshops, they don't happen as often.

I just turned 67, and can see the end of my deer hunting at some point in the not-too-distant future, at least the way I do it now, by myself on public land. I got out a good bit last season and killed a couple, but with my new crossbow, not a rifle. Having meat in hand (!), I passed up a few does hoping for a nice buck, but none showed, and by the time I decided to go brown and down, nothing more showed.

I may buy at least one more in the next couple of years, but for my grandson, who's almost 10, and killed his first last season with the little rifle I set up for him, a Mini 7.62x39. He might get one of the current pack, but most of those are pretty big and heavy for a kid, and he ain't getting the Fieldcraft just yet!

I've just been informed that there's a new sense of urgency to this project. I'm gonna be a Grampa again. Might have to look for another 99 in .243. Really liked the one I picked up last year for my other grand daughter.

I might get two more. I got a RAR Predator .223 Rem. But that's more for goofing off with. I'd like to get a M7600 in 06 or .270 and an M70 Extreme Weather in .308 or .7-08. Hell, I'll get as many as I can afford.

Also have decided on an Extreme Weather in 308. Having a purge at my place too. I’ve finally figured out what I like!! (Well, till next week anyways....)

If I were to get one I’d go with a model 70 FW in 7-08 but am like many others and have rifles I haven’t even broken in yet and have been selling more than buying.

Done buying and selling rifles....last one I’ll own is the M70 FWT 270 Win I have. If I want a change I’ll shoot my wife’s Sako 85 Finnlight 7-08. I could the funds I’ll save towards hunting trips....
