This one from a quiet, retired knifemaker in Canada, few know of, who produces some exclusive and excellent pieces like this hilt integral design - an homage to TM Dowell. LM Berg maker - 440C, 58 Rc, Indian Sambar, 7.25 OAL.

When I saw your post at first I thought you meant Dwight Towell. You had me all excited for a minute!
That is a very nice looking knife. I always liked integral's.

Sorry to disappoint you. Seen some of D Towell's artistry - nice, but this is more classic [Ted] TM Dowell influenced.
LM Berg maker - 440C, 58 Rc, Indian Sambar, 7.25 OAL.
His "gull wing folders" and five-bladed stockman folding knives are highly regarded. Very low output, rather exclusive, dedicated to his work. Berg worked as a die maker for many years and machines his pieces to very close tolerances.

No disappointment. I love knives, and Ted Dowell does some beautiful work. As did your buddy with the knife above.
Edit: It is nice seeing guys post up different stuff. The Fire is rather boring for knives. There are a bunch of guys on here that do some really nice work. But I think they as well as me get tired of seeing the same old three or four makers being posted on here. So your addition is much appreciated by me at least.

Thx, MCH. My "buddy" is actually my uncle and mentor in the world of the outdoors. My father passed when I was young so my uncle took to fanning my interest in shooting, hunting and fishing. Knife making was another one of his other interests that caught my attention. Another integral hilt: OAL 7 1/4"A Featherweight caper: OAL just over 5 3/4"

Both beautiful, but I love that Caper. Your Uncle does great work!
