Vet thinks he got injured somehow.

Something was wrong with a front shoulder, or at least he favored it.


We did not have them in the corral, so they were down the road a ways when he went down.



I always though he was sick, but the vet and wife disagreed with me.



She had been packing him water and feed, but yesterday he got on his side and could not get up.



It was going to be schitty last night so I shot him before some coyote ate his ass out.



So, we dont know anything for sure.....as usual!

By the time our angus bulls hit 6 they are headed off to the sale barn, they will typically weigh 2000-2200lbs by then.

We call our Longhorn's lookie luu's, they are here because we raised them all, and all there family, we enjoy having them, a little history of the old west. It's a wonder to me how they live so long, just nature I guess. Rio7

We got one when I was a kid to breed some heifers. We got him from an old guy in Texas that was in WWII. When he got back from the war, the Longhorns and some goats were what he had waiting on him, everything else had died out.

We could sell the calves straight off the cows and if they wasn't colored up too bad, they fit right in with the Simmentals.
