Are pigs considered big game in your state?

In Florida They are considered livestock and property of whos ever land they happen to be on. On public land they are considered game.

Not in mine. But they are big, often bigger than our deer. Edible if you’re inclined and fun to hunt year around.

Not in Texas, can be taken year around, by any lawful means.

As Hanco stated, not in Texas and probably never will be. That said, I believe that should be treated as such not killed willy-nilly and left to rot, wounded and left to suffer. I know many consider them pests. In some cases, where they cause actual damage, killing might be necessary. But, I'm not talking about eating some corn meant for deer. I'm talking actual agricultural damage. They should be treated as we treat all Gods creatures. capt david

You know how some folks are about turkey hunting? That’s how I am about hog hunting. All I care to hunt in Tx anymore.

Not in Washington State. Basically you can kill them on sight.

I may be sick but I wish we had them in Pa. the deer hunting is only a shadow of what it once was here. We do have a very few escapees but nothing as a viable free range herd.

They ruin grazing for deer and cattle, root up pastures, root up the sides of the road. Cause accidents, fuuck up things in general.

They also multiply like rabbits. TPWD says you have to remove 70% of the population every year just to keep the population in check. That's about as likely as AOC's Green New Deal working. God's creatures indeed. The only solution is some sort of yet-to-be-developed poison.

Once they appear you will wish you had never seen them. They destroy the habitat and run all other game away. You'll be saying " Man, remember when we use to see deer; Seems so long ago!"

That could very well be only one nights work . Yes, they're fun to hunt but you shouldn't want them.

Exotic here.

A dozen or maybe more escaped from someones pen 10 or 15 years ago. Sighted occasionally, but eventual,y died off. None around now.

It would be fun to help with the problem down south.
