I do quite a lot of business with these folks. Poke around their sites and see if you can use anything. There aren't too many places for us to shop. X Reload https://x-reload.comLondero Sports https://www.londerosports.com

Dang dude, I wish we could set up a business like Canadian Pharmacy. We in the U.S. can get our meds cheap from those Canadian Pharmacies. We could set up a mail order gun store and call it "Canadian Guns." Seriously, there's so many great guns there and the prices are fantastic!

Well, you live in the States. Make it happen. And you could always move to Canadian, TX.

Sir,
Took a quick look at the Londero website. Quick question: Why would a lever action .22 rifle and a bolt action 17HMR be considered "restricted" weapons ?
I can kinda figure out that some folks may not like the evil "black rifles". But, not clear why simple rimfire rifles fall into the same category ?
Not picking a fight. Just curious...

They aren't restricted. They were put in the handgun area by mistake I would think.

Steve, do you do much business with Elwood Epps? Worthwhile buying from them.
A couple of those sites you have listed look very useful. Thanks, Jeff

I used to, but they have two employees that really rub me the wrong way. Unless you live nearby, it's not worth the drive. And they really have to straighten up their website. It's a mess.

Steve; good idea for a thread.
Despite living in Calgary for years most of my firearms business is done with
Prophet River Firearms in Lloydminster
And
Barton’s High Country Sports in Grand Prairie
Both are good shops with good people.
All the best GRF

Prophet River is a quality shop. Clay will also import for you, if you are after something south of the border. I have used www.irunguns.ca for importing, and had no problems as well.

A couple of those sites you have listed look very useful. Thanks, Jeff I had 3 buying experiences with them over the years and 2 of them were poor so I never look there anymore. In fairness it was probably 8-10 years ago but I still avoid shopping there. It's always been by phone. The two places I always check out and have dealt with are Accuracy Plus in Ontario and Bashaw Sports in Alberta. I like Prophet River but they seem to be overpriced a lot of the time, great service though.

My personal feeling is that there are plenty of other businesses that I will go to for what I need. I doubt Epps will go broke if neither you nor I shop there. The last 15 years at least, I have found that by spending some time poking around the Internets, I can find the things I need at fair prices. I also ask friends of inquire on certain websites for suggestions, should I need something in particular.

I got rigged up in a three way trade for guns. My end result was going to give me a pre64 M70 in 300H&H. When Pud found that out, he tried to get me out of the trade and get the 300 for himself. Little did he know that the other party in the 3 way trade was a friend of mine who informed me of Pud contacting him directly and attempting to deal me out.

I like Higginsons. Most of my powder orders go through Andrew. They have a bunch of other stuff too. You have to look through the catalogs to check everything out.
For example, I saved at last $200 a couple of years back, buying a target scope from there.

Kudos to X Reload. I placed an order with them this afternoon and it's been shipped. Now comes the hard part: I must sacrifice a small animal to Canada Post so my pkg will arrive in 2019.

There are many good Canadian gun shops, but if I have to pick two to recommend it's Prophet River Firearms and Trade Ex. Both have been consistently excellent to deal with.
