I'm looking for a scope base and rings combination that will keep the scope as low as possible on a new production Winchester 94. Any suggestions?

I don't know of any really low mounting options for the Model 94AE. The problem is access to the hammer. Even with a hammer extension it is nice to have the scope up a bit.

I prefer the Weaver bases with the Millett Angle Loc rings. The Angle Loc rings allow you to center the scope over the bore with the reticule centered in the scope.
Under heavy recoil of the 444 Marlin in the Timber rifle the scope hase never moved.
I understand the rings may be out of production now but I see them around for sale.
I do notlike the Redfield type base and rings for the Model 94AE as I have had the scope kick out of the windage screws.

This K-2 Weaver has a 5 minute Lee Dot and is a good quick sight on the Model 94AE.

Bigger and sort of heavier scopes like this Burris work fine. I would like to have a post and cross hair on this 4X scope but there is none available that I know of.

I have what I believe to be Weaver rings that sit very low. They’re an old style that I think I found at Walmart. I’ll try to get info and pics when I get home tomorrow.

Got the info: Weaver Top-Mount Scope Bases #403 & #95; Weaver Top-Mount Weaver Type Rings - Low (Height from base: .089"). You can compare the height to other rings if listed. It is a little tricky to set the scope perfectly level because of the rings' design. They have held up well on my .450M '94.

Can't post a picture because file too large.

The Weaver bases are about as strong as any. They withstand recoil well. The Millett Angle Loc rings also handle recoil well

Here is a Timber rifle with the Weaver K2. If you want a recoil impulse this rifle has it.
