Even though my RAR shoots all tipped 30gr better, really signficantly better than 40gr ammo, I see Federal lists a 50gr JHP.
Anyone shooting this round and if so, how is the accuracy?
Excellent in my RAR. Yes, the poi changes, compared to the 30gr polymer tipped bullets. Who give a chit. Just adjust the little things on your scope that say up/down and right/left... If anyone needs instruction, let me know. First you got to pull those caps off, so you can get to the dial. Pretty simple really...
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

That is my experience as well, changing ammo changes POI especially between the 30's and 40's.
I should have a few boxes by the weekend and will see how they do.

The Federal 50gr were pretty bad at 100 yards, 4.5-5.25" ten shot groups, the 30gr Hornady were 1.5-2.25" and 40gr Winchester jacketed hollow points were about the same as the 30gr.
It was gusting pretty good at about 45 degrees but the 50gr bullets were stringing vertically, it wasn't the wind.
There is no 50 yard range where I shoot so I checked all the ammo at 25 yards, the 30gr ten shot group was .25" tall by .5" wide, the 50gr about a .7" cluster.
I don't remember what twist the RAR has or if it even makes a difference but no 45-50gr bullets works well in this rifle.
However, I do have a good 30gr and 40gr options.

At a lased 112 yards with with a Remington 510 single shot 22lr 4 x scope made in 1940, with Remington subsonic SGB 22 lr ammo, thought it was Win PP Lr ammo with the Hanned line bullet nose mod flat Point, On a ground hog on all fours facing me. Also, I had some wind and held off reticle sub tension. Killed him dead with one shot. I still cannot believe I did that! my longest kill shot with a 22 lr to date.
