Salted bacalao and extra sharp cheddar cheese.

That or shelled peanuts that have been roasted and salted.

Smoked salmon is no good for the task.

Dad and his friend were out at Ft. Lewis. They shut the base down because of a snow storm.

Only thing open was the Oly brewery, but the only person there was the tour guide.

Dad and his friend spent the whole day drinking fresh Oly beer and eating smoked salmon.

The next day they reopened the base and dad said he had no trouble tracking his friend in the snow.

A salmon pink trail all around the base.

That's a great idea.....I always just sprinkled it around so you got some zing every bite or three.
Course I was usually eating it out of a bowl at a bar so the butter (or what ever it is) was already in it.

Most people look at me sideways when I tell em I like Tabasco on Pop Corn....

I didn't even know it existed until now and even if I did I doubt it was around back in my bar stool days.

Go up to Clayton and get some River Rat cheese - or Adams Reserve, or Herkimer, or...
I only get Croghan Bologna couple of times a year now, but grew up about 20 miles from Croghan so know it well.

+1 On the peanuts.

Grilled brats are near the top of the list too.

Took a road trip yesterday for supplies and stopped at a Czech meat market. Bought a jar of pickled polish sausages. Cannot believe how damn good these things are.

Smoked oyters, kipper, saltines, mustard.
Horse cock and animal glue (salami and cheese) on a Triscuit.
Fish tacos.
All other tacos.
Pork rinds, Tapateo, lime.
Raw oysters, Green habanero hot sauce, lime.

Of course all of that schit is better with a gin and tonic.
