Get a PRI 3" offset mount & a decent scope.
Midsouth just happens to have the Leupold Mark AR Mod 1 on sale for $450 right now.
I don't have one, but some of my buds have been running them for a couple seasons on Service Rifles out to 600 and seem to like them.

Oh, rifle too, huh?
I like BCM, DD and Colt, etc, but I'll settle for a PSA. smile

What do you want to do with it?

I built my 1st AR and am completely happy with it! Don’t understand why so many folks claim you shouldn’t build your 1st? It made the experience that much sweeter! It was a great project with my son and it helped us both understand the platform so much more. It’s great having it exactly the way I want it. I will admit though I have more $$$ into it than I had originally planned but I wanted a solid gun. I say do your research and figure out what you want and start ordering the parts, that’s half the fun of it too! Successfully test firing it for the 1st time will give you great satisfaction and it’ll make the rifle seem that much better! Good Luck with whatever you decide.

I

If you can change the oil in your car you can build an MSR.

For posting pictures I use Imgur, it is incredibly easy.

left handed, they are not bad rifles my friend had one its about average quality I have a 6.8 bolt from them and its done well over 7-800 fired in it as I mostly hunt with that gun. Might be nitrided barrels, don't buy a bare steel barrel from anyone unless chambers rust from time to time depending on what you do.

Buildja' a PSA 18" Rifle Gas FF Kit. LOTSA rifle for the very modest jingle and you'll gain the familiarity with what makes things tick.

18" PSA Rifle Kit RINK For $379.99

Slap a CMC flatty trigger in it and you are there.

Hint.............

I know the OP is left handed, but the only thing I noticed by having one was I had to pick up brass on both sides of the table, instead of one... If you buy a good one with the brass deflector, shooting a right handed AR is just fine. I would not buy a smooth side upper, if shooting left handed. That would be my only suggestion. All of my AR's (including my AR10) are right handed now... Here's what my lefty looked like. I upgraded the BCG to a nickel boron black rain ordnance, and ran a 4-16x50 Trijicon on it:

[Linked Image]

The lower was an older Bushmaster XM15. Upper was a Stag, as Jimmy suggested and I never had one single failure or glitch with the rifle. It ran like a well oiled sewing machine.. For those that want to post pics, IMGUR is the best way to go.
