We only have our own Mule Deer to blame for the popularity of the 9.3's. grin

I really like that configuration in the 9.3x62. If they can be had for $900, it's worth buying an extra and holding on to it

How many do Lipsey's order? 500 or 250?

I wish we could get them out here in Australia. Quite a few of us wanted the run of 7x57s they did a couple of years ago but none were available here. I'd buy one of these 9.3x62s if I could get one. I have one in a No1S that Ruger did a few years ago but that bolt gun looks very nice.

Nah. I had Cliff LaBounty rebore an FN 30-06 to 9.3x62 in 2000 and took it to Africa in 2002.

Lipseys received 40 total rifles. I don't know if they have more coming. Wholesale is $929.90.

A bit hard to tell for sure from the picture, but it kinda of looks like they put a front swivel stud on both the fore end and the barrel?

Just looked at Ruger's website. On the exclusive 6.5x55 they list "optional fore end swivel stud." I wonder if that is something other than an extra stud to be mounted wherever on the fore end you want. If so, there is some potential there for someone to really "bubba" it up.

If only I had $1,100 to spare...

That's a beautiful gun in a cartridge I'd love to own. And, of course, Whittakers has a fair price on it...

Hi, new to the forum. Just wanted to say thanks to GSSP, and all the others talking about the new Ruger Hawkeye African in 9.3x62. I ordered one the day I saw the post and just picked it up yesterday. My dealer got the one their Lipsey's sales rep had set aside for who ever asked first. Very thankful to finally have one of these beauties. I have some pictures of it in the image gallery section. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.
