A spin on the dog thread theme. For me the list is long. A Chessie, a Deutsche Kurzhaar, wire haired Pointer, etc and though I have no real use for one how's this for a handsome bastid? Black and Tan Coonhound

Good looking dog. We had a stray female Black and Tan show up on our doorstep one day. Couldn't find the owner so we ended up keeping her for 10 years or so. Friendly and very laid back. Had to put her down last year.

Go for it.....you don't need a "use" for one because I guarantee you that show dog has never treed a Coon in it's life.
Prett dog though.

I don't want to pee in the chili, but no more purebred dogs for me. But I could love a blue eyed Catahoula.

Very seldom met a dog that i didn't like, including a couple that managed to get a bite on me.
Most wanted are the wirehaired pointing griffon, another chessie, another setter.
And I'd like to raise some, but have no use for the kangal. Might need a to look from a different angle...
Love to have a couple of Bernese mountain dogs for the grandkids... The dogs (and the grandkids) are worth the trouble.
The beagle we've got is a blast with the boys. Goes from cuddly puppy to full on psycho in .3 seconds flat... No dog more fun or more trouble

I would like to have my black lab Katie Miss her a lot Same for me. I'd love to have one more good hunt with my black lab Stella, she was the best I've ever hunted over and way better than I deserved. I'm having a ball with my first GWP right now though...she is almost 7 months.

I would like to have my black lab Katie Miss her a lot X2. In my 30s I had a mixed breed black Lab I would give anything to go hiking with again.

Never been around one, but I'd like to spend some time with a cane corso.
But it's pretty hard to beat my last two labs.

That is one handsome looking coon hound. He looks big in that picture too. Hunted coons with one as a youngster still miss that dog she thought the sun came up over my shoulders each day. When she say the box going into the back of the truck she'd piss all over. Great dog I would love to own one again but that blood hound sounds great to.
Good luck and shoot straight y'all

That's a tough question. Dogs have come to us through odd circumstances, Lhasa Apso through Brittany. I wouldn't have traded any of them. Actually been pondering the question and not getting anywhere. But the right dog seems to show up when the time is right and I'm wondering what it'll be this time.

I'll stick with my tried and true Standard Schnauzers... They are always the high point in my day.

The dog threads on the 'fire are great. We just got our Sheltie Lilly a year ago. Our son had a Golden Retriever that was a good dog. What a character.

A couple Greyhounds or Borzois are breeds I would like to own. I was once able to hunt coyotes with greyhounds and it was a blast. A Jack Russell Terrier is another dog I have thought of. I had a terrier mix as a kid which I had a lot of fun hunting rats around the farm. My wife would like an Australian Shepard with which to run Agility. We had a German Shepard when we got married but I wouldn't mind having a Malinoise in the future.

Our current Lab is one of the best all around dogs I've ever had the privilege to own, could definitely see adding a pointing breed in the future though. Maybe Weimaraner or Vizsla....
