Hope he's sending his rent checks on time cause he's not just living in your head, he's throwing a party up there with a live band, strippers and mud wrestling pit.

I was thinking about picking up some Peterson brass. Can anyone tell me about their flash holes?

Good timing, thinking about selling the Holy Grail of Montana's and getting another FC in 7-08. I have not shot a 7-08 since the 90's but have plenty of 162 Amax and 180 ELD's.

QL estimates 2450 with a 180 ELD out of an 18" barrel and and 2745 with a 139 BTSP.

At 300 yards the 180 has ~4" of drift compared to ~8" with the 139, more velocity and a 500 ft-lbs advantage.

What’s the terminal performance like on a match bullet? I’ve always wondered why some people use them

Out of a 7RUM it is impressive. I have seen over 40 head of big game taken with that combo including, bull elk, large black bears, mule deer and coues whitetail. A few lions to boot. The 180 Berger is a good hunting bullet.
