that are for the 22 TCM. I am trying to find out more about them. They appear to be very much like old style Hornet bullets. What I would like to find out is their BC and the max velocity they can handle. I have emailed Armscor, but thought someone here might know. I have been offered 1000 cheap, but don't want them if they cannot handle 2800 to 3000 fps.

They handle it in the rifle version of the TCM. I’d think they’re good to go for hornet loads. The TCM rifle basically mirrors the hornet ballistics.

FYI check out ammo supply warehouse before you buy. What you think is cheap may not be. They are about $60 per thousand last I saw.

I've shot them in my 221 Fireball, 22" barrel, 14 twist . Didn't chrono them, but If I remember right, I used a mild load of 1680 that easily exceeded 2800 fps. The accuracy didn't impress me, around 1.25" at 100. I think it's the same bullet Armscor loads their 22 rf magnum ammo with.

Thanks. I did manage to find some info on the 22 TCM rifle. I suppose they should be alright in the Hornet. The price is $60 CDN for 1,000 which is great, but I was thinking of my 22 K-Hornet.



I think, given their shape and the cartridge that they are loaded in, 2800 to 3000 fps might be at the ragged edge of them staying together. Like pushing a VW Bug at 100+ mph (with other than their stock engine, of course!)

Funny to think that if I buy those bullets, I might have to throttle the K Hornet back to std Hornet velocities! I just got my Hornet reamed out to the K.

They are actually a pretty hard bullet. I have several thousand for "fireforming" 22 hornet to K hornet on the cheap. I have shot them into water jugs at 100 yds and they just mushroom, they don't blow up like a vmax. That would be at 2900 FPS velocity.
They also are not that accurate (3/4" at 100 yds, when the rifle shoots bugholes most times with other 40gr HPs like nosler/sierra), but they are cheap for fireforming brass

Thanks for the information. It sounds like they would be a good coyote bullet for a K Hornet I don't mind .75 inch at 100 yd. I considered making my own, but I cannot make them for 7 or 8 cents apiece!
